Get ready for a panel experience like no other at this year’s PLAY Expo Blackpool, featuring none other than DJ Tim from the legendary 90s dance music duo Utah Saints!
As the Musical Directors behind the upcoming retro-gaming comedy Ctrl AI Delete, Utah Saints are bringing their excellent taste in 80s and 90s beats to the soundtrack of the film. Known for groundbreaking smash hits like “Something Good” and “What Can You Do For Me,” the group has been at the forefront of electronic dance music for decades. The band had three top-ten and another five top-40 singles on the UK Singles Chart in the 1990s.
And importantly for the PLAY Expo audience, their gaming credentials are stellar! Their high-energy tracks have been featured in games like SSX and FIFA, where their unique soundscapes complemented the fast-paced action. Their
signature sound was also part of Final Vendetta, a retro-inspired beat'em up that draws heavily from classic arcade games. Oh and they won a Golden Joystick on GamesMaster!
DJ Tim from Utah Saints will join the star-studded panel to talk all things music, gaming, and the “Retrogaming Vs Super Intelligence” film.
Ctrl AI Delete, currently live on Kickstarter, is the passion project of Jason Bradbury (yes, The Gadget Show's very own tech guru) and explores a future where retro gaming might just be the world's only hope against a rogue AI! Joining Jason and co-writer Mark Felgate, DJ Tim will dive into how music, tech, and nostalgia will blend to create a truly unique cinematic experience.
Don't miss this chance to hear directly from the masterminds behind the movie and one of the most influential acts of the 90s. Whether you're a fan of retro gaming, electronic music, or epic underdog stories, this panel is set to be an unmissable part of PLAY Expo Blackpool 2024!
Time: Saturday 5th Oct 12.00
