We love our indie games here at Replay Events so we're pleased as punch that PLAY Expo Blackpool 2025 will have our biggest ever indie zone!
We can confirm the first fifteen studios today and have over twenty games so far with plenty more to follow!

Brazen Gameplay - UrbX Warriors
Urban explorers, Alejandro and Ramona begin to investigate what they believe to be an as yet undiscovered underground temple complex, near the foothills around Lake Titicaca. However, to their shock, they quickly discover that they are not alone and find themselves dragged down into the temple's subsurface network of tunnels. Our intrepid explorers soon come to the chilling realisation that their inquisitive footsteps are not roaming through just an ancient temple. No, their very presence has awakened something dark, something that has laid dormant for millennia; this is not just a temple, it is a city, a buried lost subterranean city, of the dead!

A demo of Hyper Sentinel Fusion will be playable on Steam Deck at the event. An intense shoot-em-up + roguelite fusion where Urdium meets Paradroid meets Hades. Tea Stained Games - Cabbie!
Cabbie! is a reimagined driving arcade game where you drive, drift and deliver your way to victory by helping the local Meeplets and saving the mind-controlled Sheeplets throughout colourful and bite sized worlds that feel like Saturday morning cartoons. Buckle up and cruise around solo or convoy together with up to 3 friends. Experience the adventure in co-operative mode or put your delivery skills to the test against other players in PVP.

Book of Abominations is a monster taming RPG steeped in Eldritch horror. Capture and battle Lovecraftian abominations in snappy group turn based combat whilst exploring Halflight Isle - a remote fishing community shrouded in a history of supernatural, otherworldly horror.
Retroburn - Positron
Positron is a fast-paced arcade style game inspired by the classic arcade games of the 80's. Battle against opponents in the Arena, navigate your way out of the Maze, and collect power-ups while avoiding your own trail in Snake.

Hawaiian Shirt Games - Overencumbered in Another World
Overencumbered in Another World is an apocalyptic themed inventory management puzzle game, taking players across 80 handcrafted levels which steadily increase in difficulty. We are planning on having a daily giveaway (keeping track of this on a small white board we will be bringing with us), giving convention guests the opportunity to win a free copy of the game (STEAM only currently) if they can remain within the top 5 slots of a speed running competition of the first 15 levels of the game.
Grimware Games - Necro Nancy
A solo developer creating 8-bit games and pixel art. At the event they will be showing Necro Nancy, winner of Byte Off 5 Best Graphics, running on classic NES and modern hardware.
Axile Studio - The Black Tower
The Black Tower is a single-player Dungeon RPG in development for PC, partially inspired by the Wizardry series. As your misfit party of ill-omened wretches ascends the levels of the eldritch tower, unearthing its secrets and battling myriad enemies in turn-based combat, they might gradually come to understand its tenebrous purpose – or perhaps their own! This will be a short playable demo featuring the first area of the game; some elements will differ in the final release.
Flump Studios - Ruyn / Sky Saviour / Horizon Shift 64 / X Ninja
For 15+ years Flump Studios have been crafting retro-inspired indie games across PC, mobile and consoles. From their biggest hit Horizon Shift ’81 to the brand new Ruyn, they love making fast, fun and addictive experiences.

Computers Are Free For Everyone is a charity that teaches game development in Bangladesh. They are sharing some student game projects as well as a larger game developed by staff called 'Wrongly Accused'. 'Wrongly Accused' is a detective game in which you investigate historical crime scenes. Your task is to unmask the real perpetrator of each crime and clear the name of the wrongly accused.
