The Vectrex Mini is heading for PLAY Expo Blackpool!
The original Vectrex remains a rare machine, sometimes hard to find… The Vectrex Mini preserves the soul of the original 1980s vector-based console while adopting a more compact format. At half the size of the original, it comes with a 5-inch AMOLED screen that offers sharper images and deeper blacks, ensuring the best readability and contrast for vector games.
The Vectrex Mini is powered via USB-C, uses a Bluetooth controller, and features a video output for play on modern displays — or even live streaming. It runs on an emulator based on VecX, renowned for its stability and accuracy.
Twelve built-in original games are included, each with its own physical overlay for the authentic Vectrex experience. And for those who want to go further, a microSD slot allows you to add more games, including modern homebrews.
After an incredible reception at Gamescom 2025, the Vectrex Mini is now heading to Kickstarter on November 3rd, 2025.
Attendees to PLAY Expo Blackpool will be able to try out the Vectrex mini before anywhere else in the UK!
